Shoes

It’s hard not to stare when they are
Standing in front of you, howling
Shrieking lines like
“I can’t help but rhyme!”
Or
“Shooooes! Shooooes!”
People. Who knew? Wtf?
We’re happy not everyone’s like Morrissey
Or Vlad the Impaler, or Mother Teresa
Or the girl shouting SHOES
But we’re glad someone is
Even if secretly
It means we are free
To be, differently
